Histoire
This expeditionary seabase was built in 2022 by National Steel & Shipbuilding Co (NASSCO) in San Diego, CA.
Notes historiques
George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 29/10/2022) stated "Over the past 6 months the ships have progressed at NASSCO. JOHN L CANLEY (ESB 6) is now in the water, and once again shows only Navy markings. I can't tell for certain if she'll initially be operated by MSC until commissioning; the reports I see hint as such, but could be just projecting based on earlier units. The next ESB is already rising in the graving dock. "

In 2022 she was owned by the United States Navy.
