Notes historiques
George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 07/12/2021) stated "The HARBOR EMPEROR (513351), still old but 5 years newer than the HARBOR PRINCE. Colberg built 10 passenger vessels for Crowley, ranging from 65 to 135 feet.
They all had names of kinds of royalty, although some royals were duplicated on different trades. This one is now operated by what was once Crowley's main competition in the Bay Area, the Blue-and-Gold fleet. All 10 of the Colberg vessels remain active various places in California, the earliest, HARBOR KING (276248), active under her original name in Los Angeles at a gentle age of 63 years. Colberg Boat Works retired with the son of the founder, but has a record of vessels built that rivals any small boatyard, and includes many significant Navy ships during WWII."
