Story

This landing craft was built in 1953 by Higgins Industries Ltd. in New Orleans, LA.

Historical Notes

George Schneider stated "Back at Pacific Tugboat’s piers was one of their newest vessels, SEA SCOUT (1184823), which until recently was used on the Catalina Island run for Island Freight. This vessel was named Z0E, and was originally the Navy LCM-8, number C200529, built by Higgins in New Orleans. For a period after being documented, this vessel was transferred to St. Vincent flag (no IMO number, though) but apparently that hasn’t limited her coastwise privileges. Perhaps it’s just being overlooked."

Owners & Masters
