George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 10/03/2024) stated "Also in San Diego recently was the French Government survey ship POURQUOI PAS? (IMO 9285548). Her name is one of those containing a character that many programs can't crunch, including my photo editing software, so the last character just gets left off. I wonder if her name resulted from a public naming contest, like the one that the UK ran afould of. She's looking modern and well-maintained, but is coming up on 25 years of age. "
