George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 15/10/2023) states "the LIBERTY (1270983/IMO 9310109) is now U. S. flag, operating for American RoRo Carriers. This vessel was built in 2006 by the Mitsubishi yard in Nagasaki, Japan as TOPEKA for Wilhelmsen Line. This vessel was purchased for U. S. flag in 2017. Protectionist rules require a small percentage of foreign-built vehicles to be imported on U. S. flag ships, but don't go so far as to require they be U. S. built since they're in foreign trade."
