George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 15/10/2023) states "MISS EMMA (600022), clearly a standard 100-foot Camcraft from the 1970s, but not a name I knew. This vessel was at the sub base, so obviously working for the government. When I looked her up I found I've seen her under two previous names. This vessel was built in 1978 as THREE ACES for Ace Marine Service of Houma LA. During the oilfield slowdown around 1985 this vessel was sold to Bendix Corp. of Los Angeles for product development work, and passed through their two successor companies, Allied Signal and L3 Communications.

In 2014 this vessel resumed regular crewboat work for C & C Boats of Huntington Beach CA, who had already bought two sisters, ACE HIGH and ACES WILD.

They renamed her DON C, but in 2022 this vessel was bought by American Workboats of Honolulu and received her present name. "
