Kyle Stubbs (Email to Nauticapedia 11/08/2023) stated "one of the more unique LCM conversions I've encountered. Originally delivered by Marinette as the 74CM6820, the Navy later did most of the odd sheet metal work seen today in order to convert her into a dive boat supporting the Deep Submergence Unit in San Diego. After disposal by the Navy, this vessel had made it into the hands of a Bay Area Sea Scout group as the DSU DIVE BOAT (1125076), but has since been sold and found her way slightly up the coast. Per MVUS data, she's now documented as GUARDIAN, but the vessel itself has yet to see a paintbrush."
