Notes historiques
George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 07/12/2021) stated "My last stop was Bay Point, a small unknown community but a place where a company called the Pacific Coast Shipbuilding Company built 10 steel cargo ships during WWII and then a coastwise tanker just after. That’s where there’s a blue-hulled freighter that looks from Hwy 4 like it’s being broken up, but in fact, she’s just idle there and has been for some time. No name is evident on her, but she’s identical to one I photographed in Long Beach in 1987, and then had the name “GRACE OF SAN FRANCISCO” on her bow. She’s obviously a European coaster by design, but I’ve never learned anything about her history." In 1983 this vessel arrived Terminal Island, Los Angeles for demolition by National Metal & Steel Corp.
In 1994 this vessel was laying at Alameda Ca USA. This vessel was later hulked at Sacramento Ca USA.
