George Schneider (June 2026) writes: She was struck from the Navy list in 1994 but never disposed of, so in 1999, when the Long Beach Naval facilities were closed, she was among the craft turned over to the City of Long Beach to help with redevelopment. This view was taking from a great distance from a harbor tour boat that wasn't allowed inside the base; there's a better view in the Navsource reference below.
