Notes historiques

On February 11, 1907 this vessel, carrying a cargo of coffee, ran aground at Ocos Guatamala and was stranded permamenntly for about ten years. Attempts to dredge a channel or otherwise salvage her eluded her salvagers. This vessel was in good shape and was used by the locals to generate electricty for the town. The vessel was kept in good shape throughout her time ashore and this vessel was able to use her power to assist in the salvage operation.

In 1917 this vessel was successfully salvaged by Captain F.C. Strafford with the tug Pilot and towed north by the tug Nitinat.
