故事

This freighter was built in 1945 by Sturgeon Bay Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co..

历史记录

On June 17, 1965 this vessel encountered heavy weather while under tow by CNAV Clifton about 35 west of the Queen Charlotte Islands. This vessel was carrying 149 tons of obsolete ammunition. Her rudder jammed and the crew abandoned ship. Divers from HMCS Mackenzie got a line aboard her and this vessel was towed to Victoria. On September 1, 1977 this vessel collided with the fishboat M.M. (which sank) between Egg Island and Pine Island in Queen Charlotte Sound BC Canada. This vessel was reported by Doug Murdoch (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 08/12/2014) as being laid up in poor condition at Namu BC Canada. J.D. Jordan (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 07/05/2016) reports that "This vessel spent her final years tied to the dock in Namu. Moved to Shearwater after the Coast Guard was concerned for her sinking.

They dismantled her at Wainwright Shipyard, Prince Rupert in 2015."
