Notes historiques
George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 12/10/2022) stated "I mentioned the limitations of the SAN FRANCISCO BELLE, whose design was just to barely get her away from the pier as a casino boat and return to exchange guests. Her Captain and Mate were both impressive at handling her, making it look easy, but as an added layer of safety, a tug from Westar Marine was also on the scene. One they assigned was the BOB (1125230). Most of their pushers are "Cats" (BEARCAT, WILDCAT, etc) and this was previously named BOBCAT, but for some reason the name was shortened. This vessel was originally Army LCM 8518, which is still clearly welded onto her stern. This vessel was built in 1966 by Marinette, and was sold and first documented in 2002. "
