This yacht, power-cruiser was built in 1965c in Goldstream, BC.
Historical Notes
Ron David stated (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 01/10/2022) that "this vessel was Built at Goldstream in the 1960s". Garry Wick (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 01/10/2022) stated "The "Poacher Maru" was owned by Roy Smith from Saltspring Island . I don't think he is with us today. It had a 4 cylinder Morris or Austin engine for power conected to a V-drive and was hand cranked to start it. Roy Smith had a foundry in Victioria down near Capital Iron.
He kept it in Brentwood Bay at Gilbert's Marina."
