Historische Notizen
George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 01/10/2022) states "MELISSA BETH (677261), one of three vessels built by Goudy and Stevens in E. Boothbay ME in 1984-85.
They came out during the "Dark Ages" when MVUS wasn't being published, but if I can piece together their history correctly, they were built for Snelling Brainerd, who quickly defaulted on them.
They were forfeited to Seabank Corp, put up for sale, and bought by Ron Hegge for his Sitka Fishing Co. CECILY B was renamed MELISSA BETH in 1988 and continues to fish. REBECCA B kept her name but grounded in the Aleutian Islands in 1996 and apparently was a total loss even though her documents were renewed into 1999. JESSICA B grounded and broke up on Unalaska Island in 1990."
