Story

This yacht, sail was built in 1979 by Superior Sail Boats Ltd. in Port McNicholl, ON.

Historical Notes

Mike Keyser states "Vic Carpenter is credited with pioneering the use of epoxy to reinforce wooden boatbuilding. The boat handles well, particularly in high winds off the bow. It is set up for offshore sailing. The owner has adapted the original hull to satisfy his cruising comfort. Through the help of present day Canadian craftsmen, such as Covey Island Boatworks, Bruchmann's, Blackline and Jespersen's, the boat is maintained to a very high condition. This vessel has been highlighted in several publications, including Wooden Boat magazine twice. Construction materials are wood (cedar, mahogany, sitka spruce) and epoxy."
