Story
This expeditionary seabase was built in 2018 by General Dynamics NASSCO in San Diego, CA.
Historical Notes
George Schneider stated "At NASSCO, the MLP 4 is progressing, and I suddenly realized why I was seeing the bow facing backwards. If you look at this picture, the bow section I saw being built was to the left of the picture, further left from the crane on the dock. So if they build it backwards, then the crane picks it up and swings 180 degrees to lower in onto the hull, it’s then facing the right way."
Owners & Masters
In 2018-2022 she was owned by the United States Navy.
