物語

This landing craft was built in 1945 by American Bridge Co. in Ambridge, PA.

歴史的注記

George Schneider stated "On the Mare Island side are several barge companies, engaged in various businesses, and many of their barges are ex-Navy, primarily ones given to the City of Vallejo by the Navy and then sold. But one real surprise was the barge JEANNE (503792), one of maybe 20 that Zidell made in the 1960s by cutting scrap WWII LST’s in half, cutting them down to the tank deck, and selling them. JEANNE was originally LST 1085, then became COLINGTON (AG 148/AKS 29). After Zidell’s conversion, this vessel was documented as ZB104A (meaning Aft).

They sold her to the Bay Tube Rental Company during construction of the BART tube, and became JEANNE.

From 1991 to 2007 this vessel worked for Manson Construction as MANSON 90, but then returned to the name JEANNE. "
