This passenger vessel was built in 1944 by San Diego Marine Construction.
Notes historiques
George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 07/12/2021) stated "Del Mar (245339) operated from 1944 to 1970 when this vessel was the second one sold. This vessel too was rebuilt as a phony paddlewheeler and modified with a cupola on her house similar to the one atop the Balboa Pavilion in Newport Harbor. This vessel sailed many years as the PAVILION QUEEN.
In 2000 this vessel was sold and became a private houseboat named NICKELSNATCHER. When no marina would accept her in the San Diego area, this vessel roamed around until this vessel finally found a long-term home in the Sacramento Delta at an obscure marina on the "Delta Loop".

In 1948 she was owned by the Star and Crescent Boat Co., San Diego CA USA.
