50DW-Foxtrot

George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 07/12/2021) stated "Down in South Bay, we did finally see up close one of the 50-foot dive tenders from Peterson’s builders. She’s been around for quite a while, and is referred to as the FOXTROT. I knew of two of these in San Diego soon after they were delivered, and thought this vesselmust be one of those two, but neither was called FOXTROT, and sadly, I didn’t get a good identity on this one. Across her stern was written “The Black Pearl,” and where the NavSea boat number should be, I could read what I’m fairly certain said DSM 008. The original series was 50DW8901-8908, but the 8 dropped out of the SABAR’s so that’s not a very good guess what this vessel was. "
