George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 07/12/2021) stated "we saw several 34PB’s escorting a Mike-8, the 74CM846, now obviously working for Assault Craft Unit 1, but last I knew this vessel was assigned to the prepositioning ship ANDERSON. That should mean that some older LCM’s from the ACU’s are being retired, but I haven’t seen any offered for sale for a long time. Maybe they’re being transferred to foreign navies."
