This fishboat, general was built in 1968 by Bender Shipbuilding in Mobile, AL.
Historical Notes
Kyle Stubbs (Email to Nauticapedia 13/12/2021) stated "the steel fishing boat DESIRE (516518), built by Bender in 1968. Unfortunately, less than a month after my visit, DESIRE's emergency beacon was reported active about 20 miles off the Oregon coast. Responding Coast Guard aircrews rescued all five crew from a raft, but the vessel was reported to have capsized and presumably sank."

In 2021 she was owned by USA interests.
