George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 07/12/2021) stated "the USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72) arrived. One could wish I'd gotten her at sea so there'd be less background, but with the range you need to stay away from a Carrier for safety, it's difficult to get a good shot. They're too long for a good picture when seen from the side, so this was really the best angle possible. "
