This vessel was built in 1998 by Fincantieri Marghera shipyard in Monfalcone.
Historical Notes
George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 07/12/2021) stated "Out at sea the next week, we were on "Foxtrot Corpen" and couldn't diverge when the cruise ship GRAND PRINCESS (9104005) came cruising by. This vessel had a 1-mile CPA, so I got clearance to let that happen and got these good morning-twilight shots of her. Although the idle container ships hadn't gotten this far South yet, the idle cruise ships were "milling about smartly" up and down the coasts, so we saw half a dozen of them passing at a distance during these 5 weeks."

In 1998-2003 she was owned by P & O Princess Cruises.
