Kyle Stubbs (Email to Nauticapedia 12/12/2021) states "At Coos Bay … I drove down the waterfront access road to see if I could spot her from some sort of break in the fences and buildings. I was in luck, and just as the rain moved back in, I found an opening to stop and grab a quick shoreside photo before my camera got soggy. It turns out this vessel was the NORTH SEA (645685), another of the many McDermott-built oilfied tugs; in this case Tidewater's EL GALLO GRANDE (hull 267). Under her present name she'd spent time bouncing around the east coast for Roehrig, K-Sea and Kirby, then like most of Kirby's ex-oilfield fleet, was laid up. Circa 2018 Sause bought her and brought her west, though I'm not sure if she's intended to be rebuilt or succeeds the NAKOA as a new source of spare parts, though Sause has touched up the stack and wheelhouse visor with their signature brown."
