George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 07/12/2021) stated "The EMPRESS HORNBLOWER (940671) which normally docks at the Berkeley Marina and does charters out of there. She's a 1988 product of Freeport Shipbuilding in Freeport FL, a company that specializes in passenger excursion boats, but their designs are as varied as their customers. This one was built for Island Queen Excursions of Riviera Beach FL, and was originally just named EMPRESS, although her press releases and advertising all called her "Empress at Seafair." this vessel was sold 2 years later and was picked up by Hornblower, who have been using her ever since."
