历史记录
Mike Clement (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 25/11/2021) stated "The Norwegian freighter "Soloy" ran onto Pirate Rock. This vessel was holed in a storm on September 28 1937. This vessel was refloated, towed to Vancouver and repaired. Many articles in first weeks of October 1937 in the Sun and Province about the rescue, towing and repair. I have done a number of dives on Pirate Rock and there is a lot of evidence on the bottom of ships of various sizes "finding" that rock." On January 19, 1940 this vessel grounded in the Fraser River BC Canada, and was later refloated. warsailors.com ↗ reports that "On June 24, this vessel was torpedoed in the after part of Hold 4, port side by U-203 (Mützelburg), 54 44N 39 31W. "Nortraships flåte" states that Soløy was hit when the convoy was in the process of making a 40° course alteration, and that U-203 was seen by the Commodore's ship to be crash diving a couple of cable lengths off to starboard."
