Notas históricas

In the British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 08/09/2014) Ken Lund reports that "I was with the crew of the Salty Isle a few years ago when we lowered the boom and mast from the old girl before they fell down and laid them on the deck as a favour to Craig. It was near the end of her days. The Shearwater Pub has some wreckage from the Salty Isle in their bar." Brian Lande (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group) reports that "this vessel was eventually sank at Shearwater BC Canada." George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 26/12/2021) stated "this vessel was originally 65.8 x 20.0 and registeredf at 77 gross tons. This vessel had a 350 HP steam plant. This vessel was owned by the Pacific American Fisheries Co. of Bellingham WA at least 1925-1939.

By 1941 this vessel was owned by Henry John Balko of Seattle WA and now measured 81.7 x 20.6, 102 GRT, and had a 240 HP diesel plant. I see no evidence this vessel was used by the Military during wartime."
