This landing craft (lcpl) was built in 1943 by Higgins Industries Inc. in New Orleans, LA.
Historical Notes
Kyle Stubbs (Email to Nauticapedia 29/11/2022) stated "a troller named AINI-K (266205). While her appearance seemed odd, and somewhat yacht-like, it was her build information that really caught my attention, a 1943 Higgins-built 36' LCPL, the C3583. That explained the shape of the stern, but the rest of the hull and the 42.1' measured length likely comes from one of the post-war conversion kits marketed by wooden boat builders like Chris Craft."

In 1943 she was owned by the United States Navy.
In 2022-2023 she was owned by USA interests.
Rebuilds
Rebuilt as a troller fishboat.
