Notas históricas

Mike McCammon (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 02/08/2019) stated that "According to a Classic Yacht Association post, this vessel was taken down to the keel and completely rebuilt 2005-2013. This vessel is powered by Sole diesel 55 hp (2012). A sign on the vessel indicates this vessel was re-built by Mike Hass." Douglas Lea-Smith (British Columbia Nautical Historical Facebook Group 03/08/2019) stated "completely rebuilt by Mike Haas, who unfortunately died in 2018. Mike was an amazing shipwright." Robert Lawson (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 02/08/2019) stated that "the ownership record of Meiko is not quite right. Chester Hendrick sold the boat in 1990 to Raymond Torrens,of Victoria who kept her in Genoa Bay as a get away for writing a theological book he was writing.

Around 1995 he moved the boat to Hall's Boathouse in Finlayson Arm. Raymond died in 1999. I believe her hull was double diagonal planking on the Ashcroft system which was in vogue in the 1920s and 1930s."
