Story

This yacht, power-cruiser was built in 1910 by George Lawley & Son Shipbuilding Corp. in Neponset, MA.

Historical Notes

Her owner states "Launched June 9, 1910 in Boston, MA. Showed up in Los Angeles in 1922 . Been on the West Coast ever since. Many owners through the years. Wells Fargo. Universal distributor of Seattle. This vessel was featured in Time Life books 1975. I am unable to keep the Lawley much longer. Have to have her out of the marina by June 15 [2020]. At which time this vessel will have to be broken up. She's not perfect but certainly not to the scrap point. I would give her to a good home. (Sincerely Gold Rogers)." this vessel was photographed anchored off Willows Beach (Oak Bay BC) on 26/06/2020) in a distressed-looking state.
