Historische Notizen

In 1911 this vessel was seized by Canadian fisheries patrol cruisers. Tried in Admiralty Court this vessel was sold to Victoria interests. For many years this vessel transported guano for the Vancouver and San Diego Navigation Co. Ltd., running between Ensenada Mexico and San Diego CA. For many years this vessel disapperared from public view and was presumed to have been lost. In the late 1930s this vessel was involved in the transport of tuna. This vessel was said to have operated as a rum runner supply ship operating out of Ensenada Mexico. (Some reports say this vesselonly supplied the vessels with legitimate cargoes.) In 1940 the owners tried to register the vessel as the Mureda but this application was declined by federal authorities. During the Second World War this vessel was a naval vessel based at Vancouver BC Canada. On September 11, 1986 this vessel went ashore on North Thormondby Island BC and was declared a total loss. This vessel broke up while grounded on a big rock.
