This barge, self-loading/self-dumping was built in 1975 by Todd Shipyard Corporation in Galveston, TX.

It was originally owned in Alaska and has a crane on the deck.
Propriétaires et capitaines
She was previously owned by US interests, purpose-built for Crowley Silver Bay Barge Co. to ship logs.
In 2019 she was owned by Canadian interests, Campbell River BC operating to the Alaska Lumber & Pulp mill in Sitka, Alaska and to Wrangell, Alaska to the Wrangell Lumber mill, also owned by ALP; July 2012 Brusco Tug & Barge of Longview, WA sold Ocean Bear to a new Canadian owner.
