Historical Notes

Kyle Stubbs (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 07/08/2019) stated that "this vessel was built in 1920 by Todd Shipyard at Brooklyn, NY as the Ormes, registered out of Montreal for the Ormes SS Co. This vessel went under American flag in 1926, progressing through several owners before being purchased by the US Army Transportation Corps in 1939, renamed Taku. After the Second World War, this vessel was sold to South American owners, renamed Lloyd Cuarto, then Rio Bravo, then Jurandy, then Sehhor do Bonfim and possibly back to Jurandy again (not confirmed). This vessel wasn't dropped from Lloyds until 1991, though it's likely this vessel was broken up prior to that."
