This yacht, power-cruiser was built in 1927 by Bath Iron Works.

“This vessel ran Long Beach to Mexico cruises, however in the summer of 1948 Pacific Cruise Lines switched the Corsair to Alaska service, sailing out of Vancouver, British Columbia where this vessel was the very first ship ever to provide a deluxe two-week cruise to the Inside Passage.” On November 12, 1949 this vessel struck a rock was beached at Acapulco MX to prevent her from sinking. But this vessel was not salvaged before this vessel sank.

In 1927 she was owned by J.P. Morgan, New York NY. in 1940 she was handed over to the British Admiralty to be used for the war effort. After the war was over, she was laid up as the Morgan family had no further plans for her.
In 1946 she was renamed as the Corsair by the Pacific Cruise Lines.
改建
In 1947 she was rebuilt at Victoria Machinery Depot, Victoria BC.
