歴史的注記
On June 16, 1927 this motorship owned by Pacific Motorship Co. Inc., Tacoma WA USA was stranded on Whitecliff Island, BC, 15 miles south of Prince Rupert, at 3:00am. This vessel was enroute from Seattle to Alaska when the incident occurred. This vessel was left wedged between two rocks, and the strain on the hull opened a hole which was leaking water and a temporary patch was put over the hole. Much of her cargo was lightered off. The Salvage King was sent to recover her. This vessel was towed to Esquimalt for repairs which proved to be expensive. In August this vessel was advertised for sale. On November 18, 1927 this vessel was destroyed by fire at her berth in Seattle WA. Firemen built rafts to float inside the waterlogged hull to reach a smouldering fire inside her boiler-room that went on for several days. This vessel was declared a total constructive loss and was broken up.
