Notas históricas

John Dawson McGregor was an engineer, William Logie McGregor was a machinist. This vessel was built with no interior and used to transport illegal liquor to the US during prohibition. Her designer is unknown. This vessel is very similar to boats designed by L.E. (Ted) Geary, Ed Monk Sr., H.C. Hanson and Norm Blanchard. There are no known sister ships and the McGregor brothers built no known other boats. after US prohibition ended in 1933, the brothers refitted her into a yacht and sold her. Winnifred May Gouge was the wife of mine manager Wilson Gouge, Drumheller AB.

In 1949 this vessel placed 21st in her class in the Capital to Capital International Cruiser Race Olympia, WA to Nanaimo, BC Canada. As much as practical every attempt was made by Hugh Harwood to return her to what was believed to be original (post rum runner) condition with modern systems for safety and convenience.

They plan to live aboard and hope they have succeeded in contributing to her next 85 years.
