Her designer is unknown. This vessel is very similar to boats designed by L.E. (Ted) Geary, Ed Monk Sr., H.C. Hanson and Norm Blanchard. There are no known sister ships and the McGregor brothers built no known other boats. after US prohibition ended in 1933, the brothers refitted her into a yacht and sold her. Winnifred May Gouge was the wife of mine manager Wilson Gouge, Drumheller AB.

In 1949 this vesselplaced 21st in her class in the Capital to Capital International Cruiser Race Olympia, WA to Nanaimo, BC Canada. As much as practical every attempt was made by Hugh Harwood to return her to what was believed to be original (post rum runner) condition with modern systems for safety and convenience.
