This research vessel was built in 1953 by Long Beach Marine Repair Co..
This vessel provided a means for following the whales and a floating home for the researchers.
In 1992-2015 she was owned by the Alaska Whale Foundation, Warm Springs Bay AK.
In 2015-2017 she was owned by Benjamin Storey, Juneau AK.
