Histoire

This fishboat, trawler was built in 1961 by Messrs P.K. Harris & Sons Ltd. in Appledore, North Devon.

Notes historiques

This vessel was converted to a tuna vessel by Ron Ingalls. This vessel was put up for disposal by Butandsell.gc.ca. A concerned citizen had reported that an old steel-hulled fishing vessel, Viki Lyne II, was abandoned in Ladysmith Harbour, British Columbia, and was likely to discharge a pollutant. The surveyor concluded that due to the overall condition of Viki Lyne II, it posed a significant, imminent and ever-increasing threat to the environment. The report recommended that the only certain way of removing the oils aboard contained in piping and machinery was to disassemble and scrap the vessel as soon as possible.

In 2016 this vessel was towed to the old Nanaimo Shipyard to be broken up.
