Story

This work boat was built in 1946.

Historical Notes

Vern Sampson reports (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group) that this vessel was constructed of "wood (13/8" fir with gumwood sheathing). We owned that vessel for about 18 years. Sold her in the early 2000s. Great little tug, towed our float house around, beachcombed and did fisheries work with her. 6-71 Gray Marine with Twin Disc manual clutch." Trudie Collishaw (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 05/02/2019) states that "Allan and I bought the Hookline No. 3 in 1980—brought her into Canada from the US. We lived on her for 2 years at the Government dock in Porpoise Bay with two boys and lots of hockey gear. This vessel gave us many great cruises in the inlets and all around Desolation Sound."
