Historical Notes

Les Harris (Email to Nauticapedia 28/05/2022) stated "My father (Geoff) and family built the Elanga a very many years ago. Geoff and Florence (Flo) Harris lived on the Elanga for 7 years and had many local voyages.

They sold the boat to a diving company located in Costa Rica who also provided tourist sunset and lunch tours. It operated there until 3 or 4 years ago when it went up for sale and I lost track of her. The Elanga was an owner-constructed, Sampson poured hull, 55' C-Baron. It had a 100 hp Isuzu diesel propulsion engine with a 3 cylinder 7.5Kw Isuzu diesel generator. This vessel displaced 28 tons."
