Profil du navire

Cumbrae (FFN)

⚓

Histoire

This patrol vessel was built in 1942 by Mac-Craft Co. Ltd. in Sarnia, ON.

Notes historiques

On April 18, 1942 this vessel was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy. In January 1943 this vessel was transferred to the Free French Navy for service at St. Pierre et Miquelon as V-113. Fraser McKee indicates a possible case of confused identity that this vessel was renamed as Cumbrae II and sold by Plaid Shipping Ltd., Montreal QC.

He thinks this could be the Salvor (#176230 or #179617) - both named Salvor(?).
