George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 25/09/2025) stated "Originally a U. S. Navy landing craft with a name/number beginning with 74CM66... Exact hull number not determined. Special aluminum version of the LCM-8 design for hoisting aboard ships without dock facilities. Became TYEE TITAN in 2007. Vessel Type: 1) Military Landing Craft. 2) Cargo Vessel."
