Lonnie Edward Berrow (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 18/02/2018) states that "this vessel was built in Japan and was towed to BC by the tug Luther from Louisiana USA. This vessel had a ballasting system and the main deck could be submerged to float objects onto it. This vessel could carry 16000 tons of limestone"
