Geschichte

This tug was built in 1928 by Pacific Mills Ltd. in Ocean Falls, BC.

Historische Notizen

In 1962 this vessel sank while towing an oil barge through Second Narrows. This vessel was salvaged and refitted as a packer tug. Drew Clarke (Email to Nauticapedia 04/04/2023) stated "In the spring of 2014 this vessel sank at her mooring in Ganges Harbour in about 30 ft of water. A friend had bought her for a dollar. L had been offered her previously but had turned it down. L organized flotation and had a diver get some lines on her for a week working the tides at 1 am each night. L pulled her foot by foot to shore no easy task using an old skiff and a big outboard. We would haul on her until this vessel stopped, wait for low water reset lines and repeat. L was not going to leave her for others to deal with aand we got her pumped out and floating. On a clear March night with a gorgeous full moon we towed her over to Captains Pass (the closest deep water) and watched as this vesselslid backwards into the depths finally at rest. We did a good job of cleaning her up not a single item came to the surface and no slick, her engine was out and tanks were dry."
