Cecelia Sampson (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 13/05/2020) stated "sailed almost five years and circumnavigated the world before returning home to Saltspring Island. " Alan Layard (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 13/05/2020) stated "At the time it was quite the ordeal to get her down to the water, they lived up the road a little ways away. Mike Hobbs who owned the property where this vessel was launched, (family still does) was instrumental in that he had a D4 cat, among other things. I was pretty young then, but I remember that half the island was there for the launch party."
