On August 6, 1974 this vessel was stranded off the coast of Labrador. This vessel was towed to Brownsville TX USA where this vessel was broken up.

In 1947-1949 she was owned by the Government of Newfoundland, Department of Railway and Steamship.
In 1949-1961 she was owned by The Minister of Transport, Ottawa ON Canada.
