This patrol vessel was built in 1874 by Donald McKay Shipyard in Boston, MA.
Historische Notizen
In 1884 this vessel made surveys in the inside passage to Alaska. USS Adams operated in Alaska, along the west coasts of the United States, Central and South America, as well as in and around the islands of Hawaii, Tonga, and Samoa .
In 1922 this vessel was broken up.
