At the start of the Second World War this vessel was seized from Japanese owners for service with the Royal Canadian Navy.
In 1942 this vessel was appraised at $10,800.
In 1942 this vessel was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy Fisherman's Reserve. Canadian Naval Patrol Vessel, Fishermen's Reserve/ Bathythermograph.
In 1944 this vessel was used as a D.E.M.S. vessel at Esquimalt.
In 1943-1944 this vessel was a tender to HMCS Chatham. This vessel foundered and sank from an intake of wtaer from above the waterline on March 09, 1981 while at Estevan Point BC Canada and was declared a total constructive total loss.

In 1942 her ownership was transferred to His Majesty the King (Japanese Fishboat Disposal Committee).
In 1942 she was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy Fisherman's Reserve as Chamiss Bay (H.M.C.S.) - Canadian Naval Patrol Vessel, Fishermen's Reserve as a Bathythermograph Vessel.
In 1946 she was owned by Cleto Feraro, Vancouver BC Canada.
In 1949-1979 she was owned by Richard Carpenter, Bella Bella BC Canada.
In 1980-1982 she was owned by British Columbia Packers Ltd., Richmond BC and Christie Packing Co. Ltd., Vancouver BC Canada.
