This tug was built in 1947 by West Coast Salvage & Contracting Co. Ltd. in Vancouver, BC.
Notes historiques
Jim Delancey (Email to Nauticapedia 01/05/2019) stated that "The Sandy Jane and the Richard E tugs were named after YT owner Earl Harcourt’s daughter and son." In 1976 this vessel was reported as having been broken up in the NT.
